Channel Cairo: Elephant Room

1 Comment Indie, Instrumental

From the story of the lead singers history with Cairo, to the absolutely fabulous jazzy yet super indie tone of this track called “Elephant Room”, Channel Cairo has found a place in my heart instantly. When you hit play, prepare to be engulfed in the piano and its melodic intro that continues throughout the song. Then pleasantly moved by Josh Bowyer’s vocals that are truly one of a kind.

Josh’s history with the city of Cairo is a mesmerizing one. You should definitely read more about how he came to name the band after it. “Josh Bowyer, lead singer and keyboard player of Channel Cairo has always had a double-edged love for Cairo after he was kidnapped, ever so briefly, there at the age of 9. Happily young Josh was returned to his parents unharmed but this mysterious and ancient North African capital had already possessed his heart and mind.” (Via Soundcloud)
